LED Floodlights
Choosing the Right Wattage
Wattage determines how much area each floodlight covers. A 10W fitting suits doorways or small patios. 30-50W works for driveways, side alleys, or garden borders. 100W or higher handles car parks, loading bays, or large yards where you need bright, even coverage across wide spaces.
Most of our range runs cool and lasts 30,000+ hours, so you replace them far less often than halogen units. That cuts maintenance time and keeps running costs low.
PIR Sensor Options
Floodlights with built-in PIR sensors switch on when movement is detected, then turn off after a set delay. This saves energy in areas that don't need constant light — loading bays, side gates, or back entrances.
Adjustable timers and sensitivity controls let you fine-tune how long the light stays on and what triggers it. Some models also include a manual override for permanent lighting when needed.
IP Ratings and Build Quality
IP65 fittings block dust and water jets, so they handle rain and hose-downs without failing. IP66 versions offer extra protection against heavy spray or coastal salt. Die-cast aluminium housings resist rust and impact better than plastic alternatives.
Toughened glass lenses stay clear longer and don't yellow like cheap covers. All fittings come with earthing points and cable glands for safe outdoor installation. Sealed fittings suit harsher conditions like cold stores or food prep zones.
Beam Angles and Light Colour
Narrow beam angles (around 60°) focus light on specific areas like doorways or signs. Wide beams (120° or more) spread light across yards or car parks. Most models come in 4000K daylight white, which gives clear visibility for security and work tasks.
Some fittings offer 3000K warm white for gardens or hospitality settings where softer light feels more welcoming. Check the beam angle and colour temperature before ordering to make sure it fits your site.
