Passing Emergency Lighting Regulations
Maintained or Non-Maintained
Maintained fittings stay on all the time and switch to battery when the power fails. They work well in spaces that need constant light, like corridors or stairwells. Non-maintained lights only come on during a power cut. They suit exit routes and fire escapes where you don't need light every day.
Battery Backup and Runtime
All our fittings include integrated battery packs rated for 3 hours of emergency light. The batteries recharge automatically when mains power is on, so they're always ready. Expect 4-6 years from a battery before it needs replacing — longer than most competitors offer.
Build Quality and IP Ratings
Bulkheads and exit signs in this range use tough polycarbonate diffusers that don't crack or yellow over time. Many are IP65 rated, so they handle damp stairwells, car parks, and loading bays without failing. For harsher conditions, our sealed fittings for wet areas offer even stronger protection.
Where They Fit
Emergency lights suit any building where people need safe exit routes during a power cut. Offices, schools, warehouses, and retail spaces all need them by law. Pair them with standard tube fittings or 2D bulkheads for a complete commercial lighting setup.
