Best LED Lighting Options for Your Office
Keeping your office spaces well-lit is very important. Many studies suggest that a well-lit environment increases worker efficiency significantly. So, without further ado, here are some of the best options for you to consider.
LED Bulkhead Lights
LED Bulkhead Lights can be quite versatile. They’re used in various industries for many purposes. This lighting type was designed to be used in boats to withstand constant contact with water and other elements. Since their invention, they have migrated to other industries.
We have LED Bulkhead Lights in all shapes and sizes. Most of our models come in either 8, 15, or 18 watts, which makes them ideal for various applications depending on your needs. Thanks to their IP65 rating, most of our LED Bulkhead Lights can withstand the elements, so you can place them in the outer areas of your office.
That said, you can also take advantage of this lighting source indoors, as there are many options that have a more discrete look.
LED Panel Lights
If you’re not convinced by LED Bulkhead Lights and would rather have a much more discreet and slimmer lighting source, LED Panel Lights should be your go-to. This type of LED lighting comes in 3 different models:
- Suspended
- Surface-mounted
- Recessed
All three models are great for providing enough lighting to your office spaces. However, the way they’re installed is what sets them apart. Suspended LED Panel Lights can be hung from the ceiling through a set of adjustable wires.
If you want a specific look for your office spaces, these are ideal and can be adjusted to hang at a distance between 30 cm and 3 metres from the ceiling. Being able to adjust the LED Panel Light’s height is a great advantage. This way, you’ll have more control over how your spaces are lit.
Surface-mounted LED Panel Lights are quite the opposite. They’re fixed to your office space’s ceiling through a set of screws and a mounting bracket. These are great for uniform lighting, and they’re quite discrete, even though the frame does stick out of the ceiling.
Provided that you’re looking for an office space that has a uniform look that integrates your lighting sources with the ceiling, Recessed LED Panel Lights are an excellent choice. These are also fixed to your ceiling, but their frame does not stick out. This makes the panel seem like a seamless part of the ceiling.
And while that can be a great advantage aesthetically speaking, it can also be harder to access them for maintenance or adjustment. Not that you’ll need to do much maintenance, as our LED Panel Lights last a long time, but it’s something that you’ll want to consider.
LED Tube Lights
If you’re not convinced by LED Bulkheads or LED Panel Lights, then the LED Tube Lights from our Commercial LED Lighting section might be exactly what you’re looking for. These tubes are a great replacement for fluorescent alternatives that use a lot more power and generate unwanted heat.
We have a wide variety of LED Tube Lights ranging from 2 to 8 feet. All our LED Tube Lights produce the same 120-lumen output per watt, so the longer the tube, the more lumens you’ll get.
If your office spaces are large, you want to go for the 35W, 8 ft LED Tube Light, which will produce a total output of 4,200 lumens. On the other hand, if the space you want to illuminate isn’t too big, a 10W, 2ft tube with a total output of 1,200 lumens will do the trick.
Fluorescent light sources typically produce unwanted heat, which can make your office spaces too hot for comfort. This will never be an issue with an LED alternative.
LED Low Bay Lights
This particular LED lighting solution will not apply to everyone, but strictly to people whose office spaces also have large warehouse areas that need considerable lighting.
LED Low Bay lights are more commonly used in warehouse applications. However, if you’re looking for a lighting solution that has a considerable lumen output, dimming capabilities, and other useful features, this might be worth checking out.
Our range of LED Low Bay lights goes from 100 W to 200 W variants, and they have an IP65 rating. This certifies that they can be safely placed outdoors at the mercy of the elements.
This LED lighting type is not often recommended for indoor applications. In fact, other solutions mentioned above will be more convenient and efficient. However, it all depends on how your office spaces are designed.
Choosing the Right LED Lighting Solution for Your Office
At the end of the day, choosing the right LED lighting solution for your office will depend entirely on you and your needs. Hopefully, this article has given you the information that you need to make the right choice based on your particular situation.
In a nutshell, LED Bulkhead Lights are ideal for both indoor and outdoor use, and they come in very discrete designs. LED Panel lights are great when you’re going for a specific look for your office space, or in those cases when you want a seamless look.
LED Tube Lights can provide uniform lighting with various lumen outputs depending on the length you buy. And if you have a combination of office and warehouse operations, an LED Low Bay light might be exactly what you need.
